This is a short film made by a group of us amateur, well not even amateur, more like beginner filmmakers, along with the help of our fearless leader, Mr. Derek Norman. The film is a result of the Basic Filmmaking Course (Part's I & II) we took through NIFCO (Newfoundland Independent Filmmakers Cooperative) here in St. John's, NL. For more info on NIFCO check out their newly updated website: http://nifco.org/ The name of the film is "Genever" and was written by the very talented and beautiful, Ms. Kathleen Chafe & Ms. Laurel-Anne Hasler. Laurel-Anne also takes the lead with one of three starring roles in this short, along with the equally as talented and beautiful, Ms. Linda Dray and the most electrifying man on the island, Mr. Curtis Dray.
